A friction stir-welded magnesium center console encapsulates the fuel tank and carries rotary climate controls, a brushed aluminum handbrake lever, and a gearshift lever topped with an aluminum knob. Additional amenities include air conditioning, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel.    The instrumentation layout was also inspired by the GT40 and includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer and an offset 220-mph speedometer. Additional gauges display coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, boost pressure, and fuel level, while toggle switches control the lighting and rear window defrost. The mid-mounted 5.4-liter V8 features an aluminum block, cylinders heads, and pistons, as well as a dry-sump lubrication system. A Lysholm screw-type supercharger and an air-to-water intercooler help produce a factory-rated output of 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. The double-wishbone suspension utilizes unequal-length aluminum control arms along with coilover shocks and stabilizer bars at the front and rear.
