Parkway Ford was established by Ian Cowles in 1973. Located beside the Waterloo Motor Inn on what was then the edge of the city Parkway grew with the community. Several additions came with the growth the dealership experienced through 1980's. A regional leader in wholesale parts sales, Parkway boasted a fleet of delivery vehicles that serviced all of central Ontario and supported an expanding service and collision repair business along with vehicle sales that ranged from small cars to highway tractors.
